The Coordinator of Student Services plays a key role in supporting the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all students, working under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinating services related to mental health, counseling, and behavior intervention.
- Supporting implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI).
- Overseeing programs for student attendance, truancy prevention, and dropout intervention.
- Collaborating with special education, and English Learner (EL) departments to ensure integrated services.
- Supporting students experiencing homelessness (McKinney-Vento), foster care, and other vulnerable
populations.
- Leading or coordinating crisis response efforts (e.g., threat assessments, suicide risk assessments).
- Developing protocols for student safety and well-being in collaboration with school counselors and
administrators.
- Monitoring discipline data to address disproportionality and support restorative practices.
- Ensuring district compliance with state and federal laws (e.g., FERPA, Section 504, IDEA, McKinney-Vento).
- Developing and implementing district policies related to student behavior, wellness, and discipline.
- Providing training and coaching to staff on trauma-informed practices, SEL, and behavior management.
- Supporting counselors and other student service professionals through supervision or collaboration.
- Serving as a liaison between schools, families, and community agencies.
- Facilitating family support services and connecting families to needed resources.
- Using data to monitor student needs and evaluating the effectiveness of support programs.
- Preparing reports and presentations for district leadership or the school board.
- Researching, writing and submitting grant applications to further the initiatives of the district.
- Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a minimum of a Masters’ Degree in education administration or related field. Prior experience of at least 3-5 years in student services management, including leadership or coordination roles preferred. Strong understanding of child development, social-emotional learning, and behavioral interventions. Knowledge of educational law and compliance requirements. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate across multiple schools. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

This position requires district residency, and offers a 260 day contract. Selected candidate must hold or be eligible to obtain valid Nebraska Administrative certification.
