QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Master's Degree in Education Administration or equivalent
Have or be eligible for a Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate with proper endorsement
Have a minimum of 3 years of successful building level administration

COMPENSATION: Commensurate upon experience and education

EMPLOYMENT: 2024/25 School Year - Contract begins 7/1/24

REQUIREMENTS:
Education Level:
Master’s Degree in Ed. Administration or equivalent

Certification/Licensure:
Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate

Experience Desired:
Minimum of three years in Building Level Administration

Other Requirements:
1. Twelve month work year
2. Some training in the principles of Curriculum Development, Instructional Effectiveness, Leadership Training, and Assessment
3. Possess excellent human relations skills
4. Knowledge of District Board policy
5. Ability to function in a highly professional manner and ascribing to the AASA Code of Conduct for Administrators
6. Possess excellent organizational skills
7. Possess excellent communication skills
8. Exhibit excellent leadership skills as identified by the Superintendent
9. Possess a basic understanding of employment law and the principles of personnel supervision and evaluation

REPORTS TO: Superintendent

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of each employee’s position includes (1) regular, dependable in-person attendance on the job; (2) the ability to perform the identified tasks and to possess and utilize the identified knowledge, skills, and abilities and to perform the identified work activities; and (3) the ability to perform the physical requirements of their specific job description.

BASIC:
In partnership with administration, work involves overseeing FPS employment functions including, but not limited to, the areas of determining staffing needs, recruitment, retention, engagement, development, compensation, benefits, evaluation, compliance, and mentorship.

FREQUENT:
1. Carry out Board policy relating to all elementary and secondary level functions
2. Support the Superintendent, Board of Education, and mission of the District
3. Participate and be productive in the training programs as determined by the Superintendent
4. Assist the Superintendent and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in proposing staff recommendations to deliver the K-12 curriculum in an efficient and effective manner.
5. Make recommendations to the Superintendent on Option Enrollment requests
6. Provide recommendations regarding any long term suspensions or expulsions
7. Work with the Superintendent and the Executive Director of Teaching and Learning in the supervision of 8. Building Administrators and assist in the formative assessment and individual development plan for all K-12 principals
8. Hold regular meetings with the elementary and secondary principals in the planning and formulation of goals, objectives, and strategies in the fulfillment of the philosophy as supported by the Board.
9. Assist in the planning and organization of fall workshop, certified mentor program, and staff development activities throughout the year
10. Keep current with educational literature in elementary and secondary education and participate in state and national professional organizations committed to the improvement of education and human resource management
11. Serve as the Central Office contact for elementary and secondary level issues (e.g. administrative, certified, classified, student or parent concerns, staffing issues, etc.)
12. Coordinate the placement and hiring of student teachers
13. Conduct periodic salary studies and manage development of employment contracts
14. Point of contact regarding the Americans with Disabilities Act, Title IX, and employee investigations and grievances
15. Ensure compliance with staff NDE certification and endorsement requirements
