Description:
The Department of Teacher Education at Hastings College is accepting applications for a tenure track or non-tenure track position. This is a full-time, residential teaching position.

The applicant will teach primarily content and methods courses in special education and/or developmental and diagnostic reading coursework. Faculty also assist with teaching general education or introductory coursework for all education majors. Additional courses could include assessment, elementary math methods, elementary science methods, or technology integration depending on the applicant's experiences and expertise. The Hastings College Teacher Education Department has one of the larger majors on campus and a respected and successful field-based program to prepare highly effective and impactful teachers.

Qualifications:
- Education - PhD or EdD, or significant progress toward the terminal degree, in education or related field. A candidate with a master's degree could be considered for a nontenure-track position with expertise and experience in the related field.
- Experience – Requires a minimum of three years of successful teaching experience in PK-12 accredited schools.
- Exhibit potential for teaching excellence, knowledge of emerging trends in the field, and a working knowledge of how students learn.
