Middle School Principal (6th grade Attendance Center)

North Platte Public Schools is seeking candidates for the position of Principal at Madison Middle School. Madison Middle School is a 6th grade only attendance center. Madison Middle School will serve approximately 300 students in a district of 4,100 students.

We are seeking a dynamic, student-focused instructional leader. The role of the principal will extend to all activities of Madison Middle School. The successful candidate must demonstrate educational leadership, interpersonal skills, management capacity, fiscal responsibility, and analytical skills.

Must qualify for, or hold, a Nebraska Administrative certificate with 7-12 Principal endorsement.
Demonstrated successful administrative/ leadership experience preferred
Position to begin July 2019.

The Principal serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of their school, responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations, and procedures of the District to ensure that all students are supervised in a safe child centered learning environment that meets and exceeds the curriculum content standards, following the approved curricula and directives of the school. Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal work collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues in other schools. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, extracurricular activities, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling, and facilities operations.
